Man stabbed in Belfast call centre

A man has been arrested after a call centre employee was stabbed in the neck at his Belfast workplace.

A man has been arrested after a call centre employee was stabbed in the neck at his Belfast workplace.

The victim was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital after he was attacked in the lift at the offices of Gem in Lanyon Place in the city centre.

The injured man is said to be in a stable condition.

Gem manages customer support for US and European clients.

Gem has contracts with online entertainment company Play.com and Channel 4. The company has also recently won two new contracts within the travel and online-dating sector.
