Man shot in the leg at halting site

A man in his early 20s was shot in the leg by two masked men at a traveller halting site in Clondalkin, Dublin, last night.

A man in his early 20s was shot in the leg by two masked men at a traveller halting site in Clondalkin, Dublin, last night.

Two men wearing balaclavas entered a caravan on the Bawnogue Road about 10 p.m. and shot the man, Mr James Moloney, in the left leg. A woman and a number of children were in the caravan at the time of the attack. Mr Moloney was taken to St James's Hospital. His injuries were described as "not serious".
