A man is to go on trial charged with violent disorder and affray in connection with an incident in Dublin in 2009 during which an English man died.

Jason Lee Martin (39), from Oldham in greater Manchester, died from wounds he sustained in a row outside a pub at Park West Road, Ballyfermot, on September 27th, 2009. Derek O’Driscoll (38), Croftwood Park, in Ballyfermot, Dublin, was charged yesterday with two offences under the Public Order Act. The court also heard that the DPP had directed “trial on indictment”.

He is accused of engaging in an affray at Park West Road on September 27th, 2009.
