Gardaí in Tallaght have launched an investigation after a man was seriously hurt in a stabbing incident early this morning.
A fight broke out amongst a group of people at Kiltalawn Close, Jobstown at approximately 5am.
In the melee a 21-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen.
He was removed to Tallaght Hospital with serious injuries.
A technical examination of the scene is being carried out this morning and garda investigations are ongoing.
