Man's body recovered from Antrim river

Police in Northern Ireland were today trying to identify the body of a man pulled from a river in Co Antrim.

Police in Northern Ireland were today trying to identify the body of a man pulled from a river in Co Antrim.

The body was discovered after police and coastguards were alerted to reports of a man jumping into the the River Lagan at Queen’s Quay near the centre of Belfast.

A search around the Lagan Weir resulted in the recovery of a body.

A police spokeswoman said they were not treating the death as suspicious and were trying to identify the man.
