The body of a man has been found on a laneway near Cavan town.
The man in his 40s was discovered by gardaí off Cootehill Road at 6am after a call from a member of the public.
The area is about three kilometres outside the town.
The scene was sealed off awaiting the arrival of the Garda Technical Bureau and the State Pathologist.
