Gardaí are investigating the discovery of man’s body in Mullingar, Co Westmeath.
The deceased, believed to be in his 30s, was found at an apartment in Grove Street.
The apartment block has been sealed off and officers from the Garda Technical Bureau are at scene. The office of the State Pathologist has also been notified
A Garda spokesman said a post mortem is likely to take place later this afternoon.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone who was in the Grove Street area between 6pm yesterday and this morning and who may have observed anything unusual to contact Mullingar Garda Station on 044 9384000,
