A man's body has been found at a house in Togher, Co Cork, this afternoon.
The body of the 69-year-old man was discovered at the house at St Francis Ave, College Road, Togher, at about 1 pm today.
Gardaí have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery, and are treating the death as suspicious.
They are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area between 11.30 pm yesterday and 1 pm today to contact gardaí at Togher
They are particularly interested in anyone who may have seen a man in his mid-20s, who is described as 6' foot tall and of thin build. Gardaí say he may have been carring two small bags or rucksacks.
