Man remanded over schoolgirl murder

A 21-year-old student has appeared in court in London charged with the murder of schoolgirl Arsema Dawit.

A 21-year-old student has appeared in court in London charged with the murder of schoolgirl Arsema Dawit.

Ms Dawit (15) was stabbed up to ten times in the lift of a block of flats near Waterloo Station in London on Monday.

Thomas Nugusse, of Ilford, Essex, was remanded in custody when he appeared before Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court. He will next appear before the Old Bailey on August 21st. 

Ms Dawit was was found in a pool of blood inside a lift by a neighbour at the block of flats where she lived with her family in Waterloo.
