Man remanded on murder charge

A man was further remanded in Limerick yesterday charged with murder. Mr Robert McNamara (25), of Cliona Park, Ballinacurra, Weston, is charged with the murder of Brendan O'Connell (22), Hillview Grove, Doon, Co Limerick, at People's Park, Pery Square, on December 16th. He was remanded in custody to Limerick District Court on January 18th for psychiatric assessment.
