An unemployed man charged with murdering his six month old daughter made a one minute appearance in court yesterday

An unemployed man charged with murdering his six month old daughter made a one minute appearance in court yesterday. His face swollen and red from crying, Mr Fergus Whitty (30), of Mount Vernon Crescent, South Douglas Road, Cork, was remanded in custody to appear before Cork District Court again next Thursday, September 26th.

He first appeared before a special sitting of the Cork District Court on Wednesday.
