A man appeared before Portlaoise District Court yesterday charged with causing injury during a shooting incident in Athy, Co Kildare.
Mr Anthony Mulhall (38), from Castlepark, Athy, was charged under Section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act and was remanded in custody for a week.
