A man in his 40s has been released after being arrested in connection with the seizure of herbal cannabis worth €90,000 in Co Louth.

Gardaí and customs officers found the drugs yesterday in a package posted from Uganda to an address in Blackrock.

The cannabis weighed some 7.5kg and is valued at an estimated €90,000.

The man, a Nigerian national, was released this afternoon and a file has been prepared for the DPP.
