Man released after theft of ambulance

A man questioned by gardaí in connection with the theft of an ambulance in Dublin last night has been released.

A man questioned by gardaí in connection with the theft of an ambulance in Dublin last night has been released.

The vehicle was stolen near Cork Street as the crew were treating a patient at a block of flats.

The ambulance was driven around the city, with its sirens wailing. The vehicle hit a number of parked cars and was badly damaged during the incident.  The man will appear before Kilmainham District Court on July 27.
