A man has been arrested for questioning over attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in the head at the front door of her home in Co Tyrone.
The victim, in her 20s, remains critically ill in hospital after she was attacked at Cappagh Villas near Omagh in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The suspect (30) is being questioned by detectives.
It is believed the woman was holding a house-warming party having moved into the area last week.
Another man was found on the road with injuries to his head, face and body. He had been assaulted but not stabbed. It is not clear if the two incidents are related.
Police appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
