Man ordered to be extradited

A man wanted in England for an alleged sex attack on a 80-year-old woman was ordered to be extradited yesterday.

A man wanted in England for an alleged sex attack on a 80-year-old woman was ordered to be extradited yesterday.

Mr Terence McDonagh (21) of no fixed abode was arrested in Moate, Co Westmeath, on January 3rd, on foot of seven warrants from English police, Dublin District Court heard.

He is accused of indecently assaulting an elderly woman in Coventry between April 28th and May 1st, burglary with a weapon, and two counts of theft and trespass during the same incident.

He is also accused of burglary in Bristol during March and escape from custody at Glen Parva Young Offenders Detention Centre, Wigston, on June 2nd.

Judge Timothy Crowley granted the extradition and was told the defendant did not intend to appeal the order.
