A British national accused of the murder of a woman at a homeless shelter in Dublin in 2008 has gone on trial today at the Central Criminal Court.

Rebecca Hoban (28), from Dublin's south inner city was found stabbed to death at a flat in the house for the homeless at Ranelagh Road on December 17th 2008.

Clive Butcher (43), with an address at 94 Ranelagh Road, was charged with her murder on December 19th 2008.
