A jury has been sworn in for the trial of a man accused of murder on an island off Donegal two years ago

A jury has been sworn in for the trial of a man accused of murder on an island off Donegal two years ago. Stephen Boyle (41) is accused of murdering Paul Boyle (19) at Early’s Bar, Arranmore, on October 3rd, 2009.

Mr Boyle, Kilburn Park, London, has pleaded not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter. Opening the trial yesterday, Paul O’Higgins SC said there had been a row about money. He said Stephen Boyle came up with a glass and “stabbed it into Paul Boyle’s neck”.
