A man accused of murdering an RUC man kicked to death in Ballymoney, Co Antrim, last June, was released on bail in the High Court in Belfast yesterday. Mr Daniel Stewart (31), from McArthur Avenue, Dervock, Co Antrim, is the first of eight men accused of the killing of Const Gregory Taylor to be granted bail. Mr Justice Campbell said there was some distinction between Mr Stewart and the others and released him on his own bail of £250 with two sureties of £2,000.
