Man on murder attempt charge

A man was charged in Belfast yesterday with the attempted murder of a 24 year old woman in her home in the Lenadoon estate.

A man was charged in Belfast yesterday with the attempted murder of a 24 year old woman in her home in the Lenadoon estate.

Mr Gerard Martin McNally (30), from Vere Foster Walk, Belfast, was remanded in custody. The woman was stabbed in the stomach, legs and hand, with a kitchen knife at 3.45 a.m. on Wednesday. Her condition in hospital is said to be serious but stable.
