A 36-year-old Co Meath man was charged in a Belfast court last night with the evasion of duty on illegally imported cigarettes and alcohol. Mr Paul Eugene Sherlock, a lorry driver, from Rathtrasna, Drumconrath, will appear again at Belfast Magistrates Court today. Customs officers yesterday seized 2.4 million cigarettes and 65,000 litres of spirits which they found in a container in a lorry at Warrenpoint, Co Down.
