A man in his 60s was killed and a woman was injured when the car they were travelling in was hit by a loose trailer in Co Donegal this evening.
Gardai said the trailer unhitched from a four wheel drive vehicle travelling in the opposite direction to the victims' car.
The accident happened on the Bundoran to Ballyshannon Road at Finner at 5.30 p.m.
The dead man was driving the car, while a female passenger in the car received minor injuries and was taken to Sligo General Hospital.
