One man was killed and two were injured when two lorries and a car collided on the Naas dual carriageway at Castlewarden, near Kill, Co Kildare, at 7 a.m. yesterday.
The dead man was named as Mr Padraic Fitzgerald (29), of Cahirmore, Midleton, Co Cork.
A spokeswoman for St James's Hospital described the condition of the two injured men as "comfortable".
