Health and Safety Authority inspectors are today investigating the death of a man at a Kilkenny quarry.
The local man in his 40s was working at Bennettsbridge limestone facility at about 8.30am when he became trapped in sand or rock dust at the site.
He was taken to St Luke's Hospital in the city but was pronounced dead a short time later.
