A Dublin man who broke into a GAA club and stole a video recorder and cigarettes was jailed for 12 months by Dublin District Court yesterday.

Paul Bewley (25), of Summerhill Parade, pleaded guilty to burglary at the Na Fianna GAA Club in Glasnevin on April 3rd last. Garda Kevin Keyes told how Bewley took property worth a total of £308. He also admitted breaking into a fishing tackle and tent shop on Mobhi Road on March 23rd and stealing a fishing rod.

Judge Murrough Connellan sentenced Bewley to a total of 12 months for the offences.
