THE case of a 52 year old man facing 265 sex charges in relation to young males has been transferred to Balbriggan Court on May 16th it is expected the book of evidence will be served then.

The application for the transfer was made by a State Solicitor, Mr Gerald Meaney, at Kilkenny Court yesterday.been arrested in Dublin and the majority of the alleged offences referred to that jurisdiction.

Judge William Harnett remanded the accused on continuing bail, which had earlier been fixed at a personal bond of Pounds 1,000, with an independent surety of Pounds 3,000.

The offences are alleged to have taken place between 1972 and 1988. Some of them relate to an institution in Kilkenny.
