A man charged in connection with a bomb scare in the Dame Street area of the city last month was remanded for a probation report by the Dublin District court yesterday.

Mr Paul Carwood (33), of no fixed abode, is charged with making a phone call to give rise to fear among people at George's Street on October 10th last.

Defence solicitor Mr Michael Hanahoe said he was awaiting reports on his client. Judge William Earley remanded him on continuing bail until January 29th next.
