A man is recovering in hospital after being attacked with a slash-hook at his home in Ballinasloe, Co Galway. Mr Alan Lynch (25), of St Grellan's Terrace, was taken to Portiuncula Hospital after being attacked during a row with a neighbour on Thursday night. A man was arrested and will appear in court next Wednesday.
