Man injured in north Dublin shooting

A man is in hospital today after being injured in an overnight gun attack in north Dublin.

A man is in hospital today after being injured in an overnight gun attack in north Dublin.

The 24-year-old was shot a number of times in the legs outside a pub in Finglas shortly after midnight. The gunman fled the scene on foot.

The victim was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where he remains in a stable condition today.

The shooting happened near the Cappagh House pub in Barry Avenue. A Garda spokesman said the victim was attacked by two men wearing hooded tops who made their escape on foot.

“The scene has been preserved and investigations are ongoing,” he added. “No arrests have been made to date.”
