Gardai investigating a serious assault in Dublin last night are following a definite line of inquiry.
A man is seriously ill in hospital after he was stabbed in Dublin last night.
The man, in his 20s, was stabbed a number of times during an incident at the Plaza Apartments on Coulrty Road, Ballymun at 3.45am.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital where his condition has been described as serious but stable.
Gardaí have preserved the scene where a forensic and technical examination will take place later today.
No arrests have been made.
