Man in hospital after Dublin assault

A man remains in a critical condition in hospital in Dublin following a serious assault in the city centre at the weekend.

A man remains in a critical condition in hospital in Dublin following a serious assault in the city centre at the weekend.

An investigation has begun into the incident which occurred at approximately 10pm on Saturday night.

A man in his late 30’s received head injuries after he was assaulted in a carpark on Werbourgh Street, close to Christchurch Cathedral.

He was taken to St James’ Hospital but later transferred to Beaumont Hospital where he remains.

Gardaí are asking anyone who was in the vicinity of Werbourgh Street at the time and may have information to contact Pearse Street Garda station on 01-6669000.
