A man has appeared in court in relation to a serious assault on another man in Limerick last weekend.
Michael Kirby (24) , of Hyde Road, Prospect in Limerick City was charged with serious assault causing harm to Adam Hayes (21), from Lee Estate, Island Road in Limerick.
Mr Hayes is in a serious condition in the intensive care unit of Cork University Hospital following the attack last Friday evening on Michael Street.
Mr Kirby was granted free legal aid and was remanded in custody to appear before the court again on December 2nd.
