A man is due to appear before Dublin District Court this morning in relation to an incident in Dublin’s Henry Street yesterday which left 10 people injured.

The man drove a car down the pedestrian street shortly after 1 p.m. and struck 10 people.

The driver was a 35-year-old Nigerian whose appeal against threatened deportation had been rejected.

The man underwent tests for drugs and alcohol at Store Street Garda Station yesterday.

The injured were taken to the Mater Hospital. Seven of the 10 were discharged last night with minor injuries. The other three were detained overnight. Their condition was described as stable.
