Man in court over fatal Dublin stabbing

A man (19) has appeared in court in Dublin this morning charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in Irishtown.

A man (19) has appeared in court in Dublin this morning charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in Irishtown.

Alan Young (19), from George Reynolds House, Ringsend, was stabbed early yesterday morning. He was taken to St Vincent's hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Bridewell District Court heard that Mark Green made no reply when he was charged at Donnybrook Garda Station yesterday afternoon with assault causing harm to Mr Young.

Judge Brian Smyth was told Mr Green, from Tritonville Road, Sandymount, Dublin 4, had no previous criminal record.

Gardaí made no objection to bail. Mr Green was released under a number of conditions.
