A man has been injured in a shooting in Co Limerick this morning.
The man, who is in his 20s, suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder during the incident which took place at 4am at a house in Reen’s Pike between Rathkeale and Ardagh.
A number of people, including elderly people and children, were in the house at the time. None were hurt.
The man taken to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick where his condition was described as stable.
Gardaí are trying to establish a motive for the attack.
