A man was taken to hospital last night after being shot in a fight in Tallaght.
The shooting happened on High Street at about 8.40 p.m during an altercation between a number of men in which two shots were fired from a gun.
A 30-year-old man, believed to be from the area, was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he underwent surgery.
The scene has been examined and investigations are ongoing, a Garda spokesman said.
