A Dublin man who was stabbed in the neck in Athlone early this morning remains in a serious condition at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
The man in his 40s, was injured when a row broke out outside a pub in the town centre.
Two men are being questioned by gardaí who have issued an appeal for witnesses to the incident to contact them.
