An 18-year-old Cork man who was questioned by the Garda on Saturday under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old youth in the Glanmire area of the city last Sunday week, was released at the weekend without charge.

A file is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions. The DPP is considering another file concerning a 19-year-old man in connection with the same incident.
