Gardaí have arrested a man (24) in connection with a knife attack in Sligo town yesterday.
The 35-year-old victim of the assault at Langan Drive in the Cranmore estate underwent life-saving surgery in Sligo General Hospital yesterday.
His condition is described as serious but stable.
The man arrested is being questioned by detectives at Sligo Garda station.
