A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a house in Galway in the early hours of this morning.
The shotgun attack took place at approximately 5.15 am at a house in the Ballybane area of the city.
A car parked in front of the house was hit by the shotgun blast.
A number of people were in the house at the time of the shooting but nobody was
injured in the incident.
A man was arrested at lunchtime and taken to Mill Street Garda Station where he is being held under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act.
