Man held over Dublin drugs seizure

A man (28) has been arrested by Customs officers after the discovery of cocaine in his luggage in Dublin airport.

A man (28) has been arrested by Customs officers after the discovery of cocaine in his luggage in Dublin airport.

The man, a Slovakian passport holder, had arrived in Dublin on a flight from Amsterdam and had earlier travelled from Brazil.

Over 3 kg of Cocaine with an estimated street value of EUR210,000 were found hidden in the internal linings of document folders and handbags owned by the man.

The man is currently being detained at Santry Garda station.
