Gardaí investigating the murder of a man (25) in Blanchardstown last month are questioning a man.

The man in his 40s was arrested in Blanchardstown yesterday morning and is being held under the Offences Against the State Act in Blanchardstown station.

He is being questioned about the killing of Ian Tobin who was shot at a neighbour's house in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, on May 27th.

The victim was shot in the neck and brought to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, but he died shortly before 6pm the following Tuesday.

Gardaí believe that a gunman called to Mr Tobin's house and shot him in the hallway. The gunman is then thought to have fled on a motorcycle.

Shortly afterwards, gardaí found a motorcycle on fire in nearby Sheepmore Grove.
