A taxi driver who was caught with €1 million worth of heroin in his car and at the home he shared with his partner has been remanded in custody pending sentence by Judge Frank O’Donnell.

Paul Brien (43), Saul Road, Crumlin, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal court to possession of the drugs for sale or supply in Darndale on April 24th, 2008.

A further 4.5kg of the drugs were found in the wardrobe of a bedroom he shared with his partner.

Judge O’Donnell revoked Brien’s bail and adjourned the case to next month.
