Man held after shots fired in Limerick

A man (37) has been arrested after a Garda car was shot at in Limerick last night.

A man (37) has been arrested after a Garda car was shot at in Limerick last night.

Shortly after 9pm the unmarked car was on a patrol of the O'Malley Park area of the city when a number of shots were fired, causing damage to the front and rear of the vehicle. No one was injured.

The man is being detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station under Section 30 of Offences Against The State Act.
