A man has been arrested after gardaí seized 10kg of cannabis resin in Co Westmeath last night.
Officers made the discovery after searching a house in Ushnagh Court, Mullingar shortly before 11pm yesterday. The drugs have a an estimated street value of €70,000.
The man, who is aged 62, was brought to Mullingar Garda Station, where he is being detained under section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
