A Dublin man who admitted the manslaughter of another man more than three years ago was remanded in custody yesterday by the Central Criminal Court.

Derek Casserly (28), an unemployed father of three, of Donomore Crescent, Killinarden, Tallaght, pleaded not guilty to murder, but guilty to the manslaughter of Michael Godfrey (55), of Whitehall, Dublin, in a field off Scribblestown Lane, Finglas, on April 4th, 1993.

Mr Justice Morris, remanded Casserly in custody for sentencing on January 29th.
