A member of a gang who shot at a service station manager while stealing £60 has been jailed for seven years by Judge Elizabeth Dunne.

David Fitzgerald (20), of Glenshane Crescent, Tallaght, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to the possession of a firearm and robbery at Jobstown Service Station, Blessington Road.

No injuries were sustained when one of the gang fired a double-barrelled shotgun at the service station manager.
