Man gets bail on robbery charge

Mr Raymond Mirrell (25), of Slieve Bloom Road, Drimnagh, Dublin, was remanded on bail of £1,000 by Judge Flann Brennan at Carrickmacross District Court yesterday to a further sitting on September 23rd on a charge of robbing Mr Peter Cassidy, Farney Street, Carrickmacross, of £80 cash on April 5th last.

At the same court a Dundalk man, Mr Paul Elderson, of Ashling Park, was charged with using an imitation firearm to rob a Co Monaghan businessman, Mr Donal Duffy, of Inniskeen, of £1,950 cash on December 12th. He was remanded to a further sitting on September 8th.
