A man (34) who was arrested yesterday over the fatal stabbing of a Latvian man in Thurles earlier this year has been freed without charge.

The body of Renars Tuleiko (32) was found with stab wounds in a field outside the Co Tipperary town on April 15th.

Gardaí arrested the man at 9am yesterday, and he was questioned at Thurles Garda station. A spokesman said a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Last month, a mother-of-three appeared in court charged in connection with the death.

Victoria Moverley (32), of no fixed abode but formerly with an address in Borrisoleigh, Co Tipperary, was charged with assaulting Mr Tuleiko causing him harm.
