Man found dead in south Belfast park

Police in south Belfast are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a park this morning.

Police in south Belfast are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a park this morning.

The discovery was made at around 11.00 a.m. in bushes at Lower Crescent, off University Road, by council workers.

The man is believed to be in his 30s or 40s. He has not been named by police.

The cause of death has yet to be established, the PSNI said. A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out.

The area has been cordoned off for forensic examination.
